The avionics learning curve just became a straight line from one aircraft to the next.
Every Cessna aircraft in the J.A. Flight Services fleet is equipped with revolutionary Garmin G1000 avionics equipment. This sophisticated yet simple system allow pilots to seamlessly move from one aircraft to another without worry about learning new controls.
The G1000's state-of-the-art design provides simplicity. safety and an unmatched situational awareness. All flight instrumentation, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic and engine data are presented in high resolution on large format displays that are the same in each Cessna airplane we offer.
The system replaces traditional mechanical gyroscopic flight instruments with an ultra-reliable GRS77 Attitude and Heading Reference System, or AHRS. The AHRS provides accurate, digital output and referencing of the aircraft's position, rate, vector and acceleration data. It’s even able to restart and properly reference itself while the aircraft is moving.
G1000 also includes the GFC 700, the first entirely new autopilot designed and certified for the 21st century. The GFC 700 can use all data available to G1000 to navigate, including the ability to maintain airspeed references and optimize performance over the entire airspeed envelope.
The system seamlessly integrates built-in terrain and navigation databases, providing a clear, concise picture of current location and destination. A Jeppesen® database supports on-screen navigation, communication and mapping functions.
Using information from the built-in terrain and U.S. obstacles databases, G1000 displays color coding to graphically alert the pilot when proximity conflicts loom ahead.
The aircraft's position on taxiways can be viewed with SafeTaxi®, a built-in database of more than 650 U.S. airport diagrams. Optional FliteCharts™, an electronic version of the National Aeronautical Chart Office U.S. Terminal Procedures Publication, allows for quick reference of all NACO Departure Procedures , Standard Terminal Arrival Routes, approach charts and airport diagrams.
The J.A. Flight Services fleet also maintains a subscription to XM WX Satellite Weather™ and included the addition of special data link receiver to ensure up-to-the-minute, high resolution weather for the U.S., right in the cockpit. Weather information includes NEXRAD, METARs, TAFs, and lightning, and can be laid directly over Jeppesen and topographic map databases. |
